NSGP deadlines by state
You do not apply to FEMA. Every Nonprofit Security Grant Program application goes through your state's administering agency, and each one sets its own deadline earlier than the federal one — it needs the time to review, score and bundle every application in the state before sending them on. The state date is the one that ends your options.
In FY2026 FEMA's own deadline was July 24, 2026. Of the 17 states below that published one, the earliest closed 17 days ahead of it. That is the gap most applicants do not plan for.
